WoW Macros for PriestsThis post is dedicated to priests, to be more specific to a few interesting and useful WoW priest macros. So, if you’re wondering what macros you should use as a priest in World of Warcraft, this will surely help.

1. The first one of the WoW priest macros that I’m going to reveal here is regards your pet, the Shadowfiend. Even if you’re a healer, sometimes it’s important to pop out your Shadowfiend to help the DPS. Especially in arena, it’s vital that you summon your pet at the right time. However, in case you need to heal one target at all time, selecting an opponent and sending your pet on them may cost you valuable seconds, time in which, your team mate might die if they don’t get heals.

So, here’s a macro for priests that will summon your pet, send it on your target if the target is aggro (or an enemy player) or send it on your target’s target, in case your target is a friendly player (the tank or the team mate that you’re healing).

/cast [nopet,harm][nopet,target=targettarget,harm] Shadowfiend
/petattack [harm][target=targettarget,harm]
/cast [harm][target=targettarget,harm] Shadowcrawl

2. A nice WoW macro for priests that will save you of some trouble and earn you a quickbar slot is the following one:

/cast [harm] Smite; Flash Heal

It’s a very simple, yet very useful macro. In case your target is an enemy player or a mob, you will cast Smite, by hitting this macro. If your target is a friendly player, you will heal them with flash heal. Also, you should check out this other post about useful WoW macros.

I hope these WoW priest macros will help you at least a little. Also, in case you don’t want to bother writing WoW macros for priests or for any other characters, check out this WoW macros and keybindings addon.

If you play a paladin there are many WoW pally macros that you should keep when changing your spec. In this post, I’ll give you a few examples hoping that they will help you improve at least a little.

Here’s one of the simplest WoW pally macros that I’ve been using since I started to play PvP with my paladin.

/castsequence Seal of Truth, Seal of Righteousness

This macro will alternatively change the two mentioned seals, allowing you to deal a better DPS as a retri paladin. There’s no reset=x variable required. I usually change it when I have 5 charges of Seal of Truth on my target and by the time they’re about to fade, I change it back to refresh them, and so on.

In case you’re a tank, you should replace Seal of Righteousness with Seal of Insight and also change the order, having the macro like this:

/castsequence Seal of Insight, Seal of Truth

Keep Seal of Insight on you most of the time to help the healer and regenerate mana, but whenever the aggro isn’t that dangerous, hit the macro and change on the Seal of Truth to apply some stacks and help the DPS a bit.

Each one of these WoW pally macros will save you a slot on your quickbar and also make the seal-swap more accessible.

There are many other useful WoW pally macros, but to benefit from the most effective ones, as well as from the balanced keybindings that the elite players use, there’s a very neat addon for WoW macros and keybindings presented on the main page of this site.

WoW Macros for PaladinsDo you play a paladin? In that case, here are a few useful WoW paladin macros for each spec.

1. Here’s an excellent burst macro for Retribution paladins:

/cast Zealorty
/cast Avenging Wrath
/cast Guardian of Ancient Kings
/use 13

Now, in case you have problems with your mana, you can add Divine Plea to this macro. Especially in a DPS team in arena, this WoW paladin macro is very effective, if your team must burn an opponent quickly.

2. A great macro for paladin-tanks is the following one:

/cast [target=focus] Hand of Salvation

As you can see, if you hit this macro, you will cast Hand of Salvation on the player that you have under your focus. I usually focus a rogue because they tend to aggro easily, they’re pretty squishy and since they’re in melee, the can easily die or lose a huge amount of HP, being hard for healer to keep up.

3. And the last one of the WoW paladin macros that I’m going to put into view here, is for healers:

/use 13
/use 14
/cast Divine Illumination
/cast Divine Favor
/cast Avenging Wrath

Of course, if you’re in arena, you’ll have to remove the PvP trinket from this macro. It wouldn’t be to wise to waste such an important CD on a healing burst macro.

If you’re looking for more WoW paladin macros, you must know that using a ton of them will rather cripple your gameplay. However, using the right ones will take your paladin to maximum effectiveness. The best solution to load up the macros and keybindings of the pros, for paladin and any other class is the WoW macros and keybindings addon presented on the first page of this website.
