WoW Macros for PriestsThis post is dedicated to priests, to be more specific to a few interesting and useful WoW priest macros. So, if you’re wondering what macros you should use as a priest in World of Warcraft, this will surely help.

1. The first one of the WoW priest macros that I’m going to reveal here is regards your pet, the Shadowfiend. Even if you’re a healer, sometimes it’s important to pop out your Shadowfiend to help the DPS. Especially in arena, it’s vital that you summon your pet at the right time. However, in case you need to heal one target at all time, selecting an opponent and sending your pet on them may cost you valuable seconds, time in which, your team mate might die if they don’t get heals.

So, here’s a macro for priests that will summon your pet, send it on your target if the target is aggro (or an enemy player) or send it on your target’s target, in case your target is a friendly player (the tank or the team mate that you’re healing).

/cast [nopet,harm][nopet,target=targettarget,harm] Shadowfiend
/petattack [harm][target=targettarget,harm]
/cast [harm][target=targettarget,harm] Shadowcrawl

2. A nice WoW macro for priests that will save you of some trouble and earn you a quickbar slot is the following one:

/cast [harm] Smite; Flash Heal

It’s a very simple, yet very useful macro. In case your target is an enemy player or a mob, you will cast Smite, by hitting this macro. If your target is a friendly player, you will heal them with flash heal. Also, you should check out this other post about useful WoW macros.

I hope these WoW priest macros will help you at least a little. Also, in case you don’t want to bother writing WoW macros for priests or for any other characters, check out this WoW macros and keybindings¬†addon.

WoW Mage Macros – Handy Macros for Mages

WoW Macros for MagesIf you’re reading this post, you probably play a mage and you want some improvement on your mage gameplay. Looking for WoW mage macros you’re certainly doing the right thing. Therefore, in this post you’ll find a few macros for mages that I’m sure you’ll find useful.

1. The following macro is an excellent macro for PvE damage burst:

/cast Arcane Power
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Mirror Image

As you can see, this macro involves the use of 2 DPS trinkets. Make sure you don’t use 2 trinkets that share the same cooldown. Also, if your mage is a troll, you can also add “/cast Berserking”.

In case you want to use this macro in PvP, remove the “/use” of your PvP trinket. It would really suck to waste this very important CD on a dps burst.

2. Another one of the WoW mage macros that I usually use when I grind for Frostweave or Embersilk Cloth is the following sequence:

/castsequence reset=10 Frost Nova, Ice Barrier, Icy Veins, Blizzard, Blink, Cone of Cold

Mobs rarely catch me and everything is reduced to the push of a button.

I hope these WoW mage macros are useful to you. Anyway, if you want to use the exact macros for mages for PvP and PvE that the elite players use, I strongly recommend a macros and keybindings addon.

Also, here are a couple of other useful WoW macros.

Useful WoW Macros For Any Class

You’re probably thinking right now that each class can use only specific WoW macros to its abilities and keybinds. However, there are useful WoW macros that will simplify your gameplay regardless of the class you play.

I’ll give you here a few examples.

First of all, I’d like to speak about the /whisper WoW macros. It’s not very easy to create a WoW macro to whisper something to a targetted player. And unlike in other games, /whisper %t [message] doesn’t work in World of Warcraft. To create a macro like that is a little bit difficult. Therefore, here’s an example of one of the useful WoW macros that I use, when I’m looking for a mage to make me a portal to Dalaran.

/run if UnitExists”target”then SendChatMessage(” Hi. WTB portal to Dalaran — Paying a 30g FEE. I am close to you.”,”WHISPER”,nil,UnitName”target”)end

Of course, you may think that using the trade chat for that should be enough, but on my server, mages are quite lazy and lame, so I have to use this macro, to let them know I’m right near them and in a few seconds they will make 30g.

Other useful WoW macros that involve chatting are easier to write. Just type…

/bg [message]

or

/c 2 [message]

…and you will be able to repeat that particular message easily, with just one click, without needing to write it every time.

Example:

/bg Group 1 – LM, Group 2 – Blacksmith, Group 3 – Farm. Claim+Defend+Report = WIN!

This is one of the very useful WoW macros that I use in Arathi Basin. Gives players direction and motivation, and really increases the chances to win this battleground even with a random group of players.
