You’re probably aware by now how important is to use a balanced keybinding. So, if you want to configure your own WoW keybinds, here are a few mistakes to stay away from.

1. Don’t bind abilities with long cooldowns in your main bar. The main quick bar is for instant, anytime abilities, or for combat styles and spells that don’t have a cooldown longer that 10-15 seconds.

2. Don’t create WoW keybinds for mouse-clicks. Many players use their mouse to click on a part of their abilities. If you want to play like an elite arena player, clicking on abilities in your bar will only cripple your gameplay. So, build your WoW keybinds so that almost every ability that your character has can be accessed easily with your keyboard.

3. Don’t use too many macros. WoW macros are good, they simplify your job as a tank, DPS or healer, but an overkill of macros can only reduce your effectiveness. Macros must only complete your WoW keybinds not replace most of your abilities. Keep your macros short and effective, and you’ll be more effective.

If you don’t want to bother yourself creating your own macros for WoW, or trying to figure out the best combination of WoW keybinds, it’s best to load up an addon for that. If you don’t know where to find one, maybe this link will help: WoW Keybinds Addon.
