WoW Macros for DKsRegardless if you play a Death Knight or any other World of Warcraft class, it’s important for you to know that not every ability is indicated to combine in a macro. In fact, there are cooldowns or even combat styles that must be left as they are. Anyway, in this post I’m going to speak about what abilities you shouldn’t use in your WoW DK macros.

1. The PvP trinket. This is a very important cooldown for arena of battlegrounds. It must be used alone, when the time is right, apart from other spells. In fact, you should have it bound on a key that’s pretty much at hand.

2. The main damaging combat styles. For DKs, these are Death Strike and Obliterate. These abilities must be used separately from others, especially in PvP, because there you must improvise every second. However, in PvE, where you can rely on a steady rotation, you can put these in a sequence macro. However, I like to keep these separated, in my quick bar to hit them whenever it’s needed.

3. AoE abilities. Especially if you’re in raids or instances, and you want to build and use sequence WoW DK macros, it’s important not to use Howling Blast and Blood Boil in them, because on every rotation you will break crowd control and that may lead to a total wipe. Of course, if you’re in a group that storms everything with AoE, than you can put those in a sequence for more DPS, but even then, you must be careful and keep an eye on your threat meter.

I hope this post on WoW DK macros helps and you’ll be a bit more effective now in arena, battlegrounds or instances. To benefit from the WoW DK macros that only the pros use, I strongly recommend a WoW macros and keybindings addon.

Also, here’s another post on a very useful WoW DK macro.
